Why Koi? Koi fish are known for swimming against the current to overcome great obstacles. Koi fish symbolize strength, courage, patience, and success through perseverance. Koi is synonymous with companionship, friendship, and love. Koi in Japanese culture represent the balance of Yin and Yang. Like the Koi fish qualities, we believe that pain and disease can be overcome through support, determination, and harmony.

She believes that health challenges are often complex and require a personalized, holistic approach. Through specialized chiropractic care, Marissa is committed to addressing the root causes of discomfort and empowering patients on their journey to long-term wellness.
Specialties
Marissa specializes in using gentle adjusting techniques to reduce pain. She wants her patients to feel comfortable through the whole treatment process and feel great leaving. This includes educating patients on the exact mechanical, neurological, and structural flaws that are aggravating their pain. Each session will be filled with exceptional insight, clear patient information, and a pleasant treatment.
Marissa also specializes in rehabilitation and strength therapy. She has worked with many injuries, stroke, and other neurological compromised patients. Her patients have all left with better balance, coordination, strength, and a better attitude. Through the use of adjustments, strength and balance exercises, and other hands on techniques patients see progression with each visit.
About

Marissa was first inspired by watching chiropractors treating horses’ pain, gait, and improving their quality of life. She was astonished by how horses non-verbally expressed their appreciation for chiropractic immediately after treatment.
Marissa was further inspired to become a chiropractor after being treated for headaches and migraines originating for the neck while completing her Kinesiology degree. Her chiropractor used hands on techniques, postural analysis, and lifestyle advice to cure this issue. The use of these many treatment options sparked her love for chiropractic and treating others. Her goal is that every person is checked for subluxations, and adjusted when necessary.
